12-Month Old Infant Sustains Puncture Wounds on Face After Dog Bite

An infant was recently hospitalized in Central New Jersey after a dog bit her on the face. The Middletown First Aid Squad rushed the baby girl to Red Bank’s Riverview Medical Center for medical attention.

The dog was left at home, and Middletown Animal Control was notified.

Reports say that the dog was a husky, and that the incident occurred at around 7 p.m.

According to a spokesperson from Middletown First Aid, the 12-month old child sustained numerous puncture wounds to the face. Thankfully, the injuries were not life threatening. With time, the baby is expected to recover fully from her injuries.

The reason for the attack is unclear, and the incident remains to be under investigation.
