NJ.com reports that an Amtrak employee was killed Tuesday morning by a NJ Transit train near the Jersey Avenue Station in Brunswick.
Initially described as a “trespasser fatality”, NJ Transit now confirms that the person struck and killed was a worker for the federal train agency Amtrak. The employee’s identity has not been released, nor have any details been given about the accident. We will have more information here when it becomes available.
